This is a  portrait of a Nepalese woman who had just received her first Bible. The joy in her face was riveting. I thought, I just have to paint this! Her photo was in a magazine of the ministry The Voice of the Martyrs, and they readily gave me permission to paint her. This painting is done in oil and took me several years to feel competent enough to try and portray this feeling in her. The painting is 24″ x 36″.
